- The Unit is responsible for handling disciplinary cases for students and staff of IIUM. The unit shall carry out the process of disciplinary cases upon submission of the investigation reports from the relevant parties. The student or staff who are alleged to have violated the IIUM’s policy, rules and regulations shall receive summon letter for a Disciplinary Hearing or Domestic Inquiries.
- The Unit acts as the secretariat for the Disciplinary Authority of the University for Disciplinary Hearing/Domestic Inquiries, and appeals to the President.
- The punishment imposed on students and staff for the disciplinary cases is solely the decision of the Panel for the Disciplinary Hearing, Domestic Inquiry, Staff Disciplinary Committee, or President as the case may be.
GUIDELINE FOR REPORTING TO EXTERNAL AUTHORITIES
The purpose of these guidelines is to provide clear direction on the reporting of misconduct to external authorities.
Such action must comply with applicable laws, protection of institutional interests, and proper handling of disciplinary matters.
