We are delighted to announce the successful of the Engagement Session on MOU/MOA & Procurement Contract, held on 23 July 2026. Organised by the Office of the Legal Adviser (OLA) for IIUM Kuantan Campus, CFS and SASMEC@IIUM, the event took place from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Banquet Hall, OCD, IIUM Kuantan Campus.
This engaging platform was designed to strengthen understanding, facilitate knowledge-sharing, and enhance collaboration regarding MOUs, MOAs, and Contracts across our institutions.
The day kicked off with welcoming remarks from our Legal Adviser, YM Raja Badrol Hisham Raja Mohd. Ali, followed by an intensive and highly informative series of sessions:
Session 1: From Draft to Deal – MOU/MOA and MCOM Essentials
Led by Mdm. Chyfica Mohamed Zamri, Head of the MOU/MOA Unit. This session provided deep insights into understanding MOUs and MOAs, the MCOM Process, key agreement clauses, legal and operational risks, vetting best practices, as well as monitoring and renewal.
Session 2: Let’s Talk About Contract
Presented by Mdm. Nur Amira Mohd Nasir, Head of the Procurement Contract Unit. Participants learned about the legal issues to address during the formation of a contract, the enforcement and legal implications of contracts, and the effects of non-compliance.
Session 3: Training on iLMOS
Also facilitated by Mdm. Nur Amira Mohd Nasir, this hands-on session guided attendees through practical applications of the ILMOS system.
