OSEM IIUM Gombak, 2 July 2026 – The Office of Security Management (OSEM) IIUM Gombak successfully conducted a benchmarking visit to the Academic Services Department (ASD) of Universiti Malaya (UM) today, focusing on student matric card printing management.
Led by the Director of OSEM, YDH Tn. Shahrul Ariffin Bin Maskuri, alongside senior officers and staff members, the delegation was warmly received by the representatives of ASD UM. The main objective of the visit was to study best practices and exchange insights regarding operational workflows, student data management, card activation processes, and mechanisms for delivering efficient and systematic card services.
During the session, the host department provided an in-depth briefing on the utilization of the MySiswa RHB card and MIFARE 1K card technologies, detailing their respective student categories and implementation processes. A highly interactive Q&A and bilateral discussion followed, enabling both institutions to explore potential enhancements applicable to their respective management systems.
Overall, the visit achieved its established objectives. It is expected to not only strengthen institutional ties between IIUM and UM but also serve as a vital benchmark for OSEM IIUM in elevating the quality of its student card administration and service delivery.
