INTRODUCTION
- Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP) is a scheme grant designated by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) under the 10th Malaysian Plan in order to support the implementation of the National New Economic Model (NEM) in creating a knowledgeable and high-income nation.
- It is not a research grant but it is a platform that promotes an effective exchange of tangible intellectual property, expertise learning and skills between academia, industry and the community for mutual benefits.
OBJECTIVE
To recognize and promote the transfer of knowledge via the exchange of creative and innovative idea, research findings, experiences and skills between IPTA, graduate intern, the industry and the wider community.
WHY KTP IMPORTANT
- It encourages and recognize engagement between industry/ community and academia in creating a knowledgeable and high-income nation.
- It optimizes the potential of IPTA expertise through coordinated interactions with stakeholders.
- It increases the chances of marketability and employability of the unemployed degree graduate holder through their involvement in the KTP projects.
- Enriching the quality of human capital in IPTA, industries and communities via knowledge transfer including teaching, learning, research and services.
- It results in meaningful exchange that facilities the identification and the matching of appropriate expertise in IPTA to address industry and community needs.

- Brief Programme Summary: Project is carried out to minimize the amount of time and resources for controller manual tuning using conventional controller for the EV and maximize the overall motorbike performance in the terms of travel distance and energy efficiency.

- Title: Enhancing Mass Production of Marine Copepods as Live Feed Supply for the Marine Aquaculture in Malaysia
- Brief Programme Summary: Project is carried out to impart and skill to established a culture system for large scale production of copepods in hatchery condition (SOP as prepared in INOCEM), to impart on skill on preparing organic food and feeding ration for copepods in the culture system, and on harvesting the copepods of different sizes for packaging.

- Brief Programme Summary: Project to carried out to access the performance of niogas (biomethane) prodices from organic waste and its applications as engine fuel for motorbike, to upgrade methane content by integrated system of pressure swing adsorption (PSA) and membrane filtration and to compress metahe by high pressure compressor.

- Title: Enhancement of Pond Bottom Soil with Bottom Life forms to Minimise Effect of Climate Change on Marine Aquaculture Farm
- Brief Programme Summary: Project is carried out to impart knowledge on evaluating soil quantity through visualization and technical analysis, guide the workers in the farm to detect the sludge accumulation at the early stage, and to train the workers and technical staff how to treat the problematic soil pond (following SOP prepared by IRS in Kulliyyah of Science).

- Title: Transferring Psychological Knowledge and Skills on Interacting with Typical and Non Typical Children to the Teachers and Assistant Teachers at Prasekolah and Specil Needs Programme
- Brief Programme Summary: Project is carried out to transfer knowledge of psychology of typical children and assistant teachers and to train them in enhancing the development of typical developed children. The project will conduct five psychology workshops that contain both theoretical and knowledge skills.

- Title: Transfer of Knowledge to Goat Farmers on Improving and Formulating Proper Feeding using Local Crops: Towards Sustainable Health, Milk and Meat Production
- Brief Programme Summary: Project is carried out to transfer knowledge to goat farmers on the importance of improvement goat feedstock using local crops towards sustainable health, milk and meat production. From the project goat farmers are educated on how to select proper feeding protocols according to the goat’s requirement.

- Brief Programme Summary: Project is carried out to impart knowledge on biodiversity and species composition of mangrove plants to PPSMKK members and to train members of PPSMKK procedure for identification and documentation plant species in their mangrove forest for the reference centre.

- Title: Transferring Knowledge to Breastfeeding Peer Counselor in Pahang: Towards Reduction of Allergic Reaction Among Infants Through Selection of Maternal Diet
- Brief Programme Summary: This project aims to transfer knowledge to breastfeeding supporters with regard the importance of maternal diet to reduce the risk of allergic reactions suc as eczema on breast-fed infants and educate the breastfeeding supporters on how to improve protective nutrients in human milk via modulation of diet.

- Title: Clean Energy Production by EFB Biomass Gasifiction
- Brief Programme Summary: The main objective of this project is to produce clean and renewable energy from unutilized empty fruit bunch (EFB) collected from Usaha Strategik Sdn. Bhd. and to apply it as a fuel for small engine. This project will be carried out by using IIUM designed pilot scale gasifier coupled to gas cleaning and gas engine generator.
