The Student Development Department (SDEV) IIUM Kuantan was established on 22nd August 2003 following its endorsement at the Executive Management Meeting by the Office of the Rector. As a core unit under the Student Affairs and Development Division (STADD), IIUM Gombak, SDEV supports students’ personal, leadership, and non-co-curricular development at the IIUM Kuantan Campus.

SDEV manages non-credited co-curricular activities, student programmes, and campus engagement initiatives in accordance with University policies and the Guidelines and Procedures for Student Activities. Through advisory services, training, and supervision, the department ensures meaningful and holistic student development aligned with the University’s mission and values.

Over the years, SDEV has been led by dedicated officers including Mohd. Danial Bin Jamaludin, Madam Asmawati binti Che Ismail, Br. Muhammad Faiz Fikri bin Zanudin, and Br. Ahmar Ariff Kamil bin Azman, with the support of committed staff members. The department is currently led by Sr. Noor Faridah binti Mohamed, assisted by Sr. Norsaadah binti Md Yunos.
