Strategic Communication and Media Unit

The Office for Communication, Advocacy, and Promotion (OCAP) is responsible for managing all media-related activities at IIUM under the Strategic Communication and Media Unit. This unit plays a key role in ensuring clear and consistent communication and maintaining good relationships with the media and the public.

The unit handles media relations by preparing and distributing press releases, responding to media inquiries, and monitoring news coverage about the university. The unit manages communication efforts, quickly responding to emergencies and protecting the university’s reputation especially in the times of crisis. They also coordinate media coverage for important events, as well as providing photography and videography services.
