Our Director

Shahrizad, a highly experienced professional with an M.Sc. in Corporate Communication and a Mass Communication degree from University Science Malaysia, has nearly 30 years working experience at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

She has held various administrative roles across various departments, including the Public Relations Office and the Credited Co-Curricular Unit at the Students Development Centre.

She has expertise in interpersonal communication, leadership, event management, and crisis communication. Shahrizad’s expertise in teaching and coaching is unique, with an approach that combines academic knowledge with practical administrative experience, creating a dynamic and creative coaching style. She is also a dedicated community service volunteer, actively involved in neighbourhood and home state societies. 

She currently holds positions in the Pahang Women’s Policy and Action Plan Committee (Ahli Jawatankuasa Kluster Keluarga bagi Penggubalan Dasar dan Pelan Tindakan Wanita Pahang) from 2023 to 2026, member of the ADHOC Committee at the Faculty of Science, UPM (JKPP Fakulti Sains UPM) from 2023 to 2025, and a tenure as a Major (Honorary) in the Malaysian Royal Air Force. 

As a writer and researcher, Shahrizad had published articles in local newspapers and presented papers at international conferences.

She is currently the Director of the Office for Communication, Advocacy, and Promotion at IIUM, making significant contributions to the university and the wider community.
