UNIFORM BODIES UNIT
Background
The establishment of the Uniform Bodies Unit was approved by the University Management Committee in its Meeting No. 9/2021. The Uniform Bodies Unit is a dedicated unit report directly to the Deputy Rector (Student Development and Community Engagement). As of today, four uniformed bodies have been established at IIUM, namely :
- IIUM Reserved Officer Training Unit Army
- IIUM Reserved Officer Training Unit Air Force
- IIUM KOR Sukarelawan Polis Siswa Siswi
- IIUM KOR Siswa Siswi Pertahanan Awam
Why You Should Join Us?
- Uniform Bodies is one of the credited co-curriculum courses whereby students are required to fulfill certain hours (depends to the study plan) as part of the graduation’s requirement.
- Students who joined the uniform bodies will have competitive advantage over other students.
- Encouraging developments in aspects of leadership, mental toughness, self-confidence and a spirit of cooperation.
- Three years trainings before be commissioned as a Young Officer.
- All trainess who joined as cadet will get allowance based on training hours. Government to consider allowance for KOR SISPA.
- Job opportunities in the armed forces
