In view of the increasing numbers of students and staff with various disabilities, and in alignment with Malaysia’s Persons with Disabilities Act 2008, the UNCRPD, and the goal of an inclusive society, the Disability Services Unit was established on 1st July 2012.

Previously, Disability Services Unit was under the Student Affairs and Development Division. Later, DSU was located and report directly to the Deputy Rector (Student Development and Community Engagement).
