Vision
To position the University as a centre of excellence in research, innovation, and sustainable development that advances knowledge, enhances societal well-being, and reflects Islamic values.
Mission
- To develop and strengthen a robust research and innovation ecosystem that promotes quality, integrity, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
To enhance institutional capacity and performance in research, commercialization, and knowledge transfer through strategic policies and effective governance. - To nurture research talent and leadership among academics and students towards producing impactful and globally recognized outcomes.
- To promote innovation and entrepreneurship that address national priorities and global challenges in line with sustainable and ethical principles.
- To ensure alignment of research and innovation initiatives with the University’s mission, Maqasid al-Shariah, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Functions
- Strategic responsible for all research functions, including government and industry partnerships and research training
- Oversees the research and innovation projects within the University's Strategic Plan to ensure the University is meeting its objectives in relation to research and innovation
- Responsible for the operation of the University's research related divisions as well as the Information Technology Division and Library
