INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE AND FORUM ON YOUTH EMPOWERMENT “BUILDING RESILIENCE: YOUTH IN ACTION” (IYEC 2025)

The International Conference and Forum on Youth Empowerment “Building Resilience: Youth in Action” (IYEC 2025) on 4th – 5th January 2025. organized by IIUM Peers Kuantan, in collaboration with IIUM Career Team, Residential Psycho Social Support Group IIUM Kuantan, GradMalaysia, Yayasan ZuraitCare, MeCare and AWAS was a resounding success, bringing together over 250 participants from Malaysia and beyond, including Brunei.

This impactful program aimed at inspiring and equipping youth to lead and create meaningful change through six engaging plenary sessions focusing on:

1. Leadership
2. Social Entrepreneurship
3. Community Engagement
4. Career & Work-Life Balance
5. Humanitarian & Volunteerism
6. Mental Health

We were honored to host 11 prominent speakers and panelists, including Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abd Razak, the 6th Rector of IIUM, Rashid Bin Mat, Co-Founder and CEO at InspiraComm Sdn Bhd, Mrs. Nurfarini Daing, CEO of myHarapan, Mr. Alex Yeo, Acting Executive Director of CaringLife Singapore, Dr. Mastura Mahamed, Vice President of Cerebral Palsy Malaysia,Tuan Mohd Fitri Ibrahim, Senior Operations Manager, Amnesty International, Ameera Aqiela, Marketing Advisor, EBTA at Shell Company, Annapooranne Suppiah, Head of Work-Life & Sustainability at TalentCorp, Mohd Shah Sapiei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Iltizam Relief Society, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohd Syafwan Adnan, Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine at IIUM and Puan Alia Ali: Leader of Yayasan ZuriatCare and Mental Health Survivor. Their invaluable insights inspired participants and elevated the conference to international standards.
