The Business and Endowment Unit was established under the Finance Department of IIUM Kuantan in January 2024. This unit plays a crucial role in creating business plans and implementing strategies to increase the university’s income and ensure the campus’s financial stability. By developing both short-term and long-term plans, the unit aims to make the Office of the Campus Director more self-sustaining and capable of generating its own funds.

The role of functions and scope of the unit divided as follows:

Asset monetization activities at IIUM Kuantan Campus include repackaging commercialized areas such as two blocks of Mahallah Talhah IM2, four blocks of At-Tabari Building, and various houses, as well as converting on-campus billboards into revenue-generating assets.

Business consultancy involves assisting the KCDIOM on the Kuantan campus with management, strategy, and finance advice. The Business Unit, OCD, will work closely with KCDIOM to analyze their challenges and develop tailored solutions to enhance efficiency, profitability, and the overall success of their business proposals.

IIUM Kuantan endowment focuses on financial donations or gifts made to the campus. The principal amount of the endowment will be invested, with returns used to support campus projects and activities. The endowment will assist fund scholarships, research, and various programs at the Kuantan campus.
