On 18th of May 2024, EPMC together with the students from Usrah In Action Section 815 organized a free tree giveaway to approximately 700 people in Kuantan. The event started at 730 am and ended around 10 am with a total giveaway around 1,126 trees and 100 seedlings for FREE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distribution comprised:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– 550 forest trees<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– 466 herbal and fruit trees (with live demonstrations of transplanting spinach and water spinach seedlings to teach visitors proper soil mixing techniques)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– 110 indoor plants<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– 100 vegetable seeds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsors and collaborators involved were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Kuantan, Maran & Pekan District Forest Offices (Forest tree sponsors)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Gading Senggara Sdn Bhd (Main event sponsor)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Daya Bersih Sdn Bhd (Handled logistics for transporting trees from IIUM to Taman Bandar, including indoor plants)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Department of Plant Science, IIUM Kuantan (Supplied herbal trees and seedlings, with students assisting in transplanting and soil mixing demonstrations)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Malaysian Nature Society (Provided manpower and promotion)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
