Its building was completed on 12 th October 1997. It was officiated by the Constitutional Head of the University, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta&#8217;in Billah Ibni Al-Marhum Al-Sultan Abu Bakar Ri&#8217;ayatuddin Al-Muazam Shah, Sultan Pahang Darul Makmur on 09th October 2000 and was given the name of&nbsp;<\/p><p>\u201cSULTAN HAJI AHMAD SHAH class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;color: var( --e-global-color-text )\">The Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque was completed in October 1997 and His Highness, the Sultan of Pahang as the Constitutional Head of the University inaugurated it to be named as the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque in Gombak Valley. It is located at the Centre of the University campus which is surrounded by leafy green trees and colourful flowers and high hills adjoining the highway to Genting Highland.<\/span><\/p><p>Its elegant tall and stylish minarets, its majestic dome and its shining roofs covered with turquoise green tiles reflect the sunshine and give the appearance of calm sea waves in the morning light. Visitors approaching the campus from the adjoining highway are suddenly elevated in their spirits when they catch sight of the high rising monument in the green flowery Gombak Valley, with symbolic hills standing on the fringes. These minarets remind Muslims of the minarets of the Holy mosque of Makkah and the dome resemble the Green Dome of Medina.<\/p><p>It is situated at the centre of Gombak Campus. It is surrounded by the greenery environment of flora. Its strategic location signifies the vital role of spiritual elements as the main foundation in human life and knowledge.
